Acceptable Lores

Triatic Lore

Wyrm Lore (the only one of these covered in the books) can be found on page 184 of the revised Players Guide to the Garou, but has been changed from it, mainly removing the rule that states that you gain derangements if you have higher in the Lore than you have WP.

Instead, you will be changed in other ways, namely using parts of the system for Touched (page 171 PGttG). This will be depending on the specific character how it develops, but as a rule of thumb: You can learn level 1-2 from teachers, but level 3+, you need to be actively working towards it, ie visit the Malfeas, the Abyss, the Scar, the Flux or whatever it is you want to know about. These aren't safe realms. They will change you, all though the taint you gain is (most often) able to be removed, either with Rite of Cleansing (Wyrm), or with Rite of Balance (page 71, Uktena Tribe Book) for the other taints. Therefore, if you have 3+, you will start gaining some personality traits that would be associated with the Triatic Power you've explored (morbid sense of humour, short attention span, obsessed with something, etc). Though, in many cases... Those are fairly normal traits in people!

When you get level 4, you'll start getting some problems. Perhaps there's a Pentex Fomor who's been sent out to silence you, or there's a Drone who's not happy with what you know, or (perhaps worse than the enemies!) Wyld spirits are so happy that you know so much and understand them so well that they will hang out with you. And if that sounds like it'd be only positive... Do you really want a spirit that could get it into it's head that you would need a second set of arms, or that it should dye it's name into your fur, etc, around? Not to mention that you should not endanger a Caern, and Wyld Spirits can often be counted as a danger, even if they don't mean to.

At level 5, you know so much that you're a danger. You suffer a version of the level 2 of Touched, where it will be based on the person etc, since there is nothing, theoretically, stopping you from learning both Wyld and Weaver Lore to level 5, and that'd make you a fairly torn person, per the book.

Wyrm Lore

* Student: You know the names and abilities of many Wyrm creatures.
** College: You can name most of the Urge Wyrms
*** Masters: You can draw a map of Malfeas. At this level, you will be getting a more morbid humour. Your intimate knowledge of the Wyrm is starting to change you, all though you do not register as Wyrm tainted.
**** Doctorate: You can quote significant passages of the "Chronicle of the Black Labyrinth", and you know what in it has truth in it.
***** Scholar: The Wyrm fears you - so does your pack, and for jus treasons. You often feel tempted, and often follow up on, to commit verbal or physical acts of cruelty for reasons you do not understand. You even know details about Pentex most don't.

Wyld Lore

* Student: You know the names and abilities of many Wyld creatures. You also know the Wyld is a raw force of nature. It takes no sides and makes neither friends nor enemies.
** College: Although now rare in the physical realm, the Wyld is still strong in the Umbra. Only the Gauntlet holds back its power, which, when weakened, means Thresholds can potentially form as the Wyld breaks through to the physical world. You know about Gorgons and also about Wyld Children.
*** Masters: You know much about the Flux, the Wyld-reaches and other Wyld-Realms. At this level, you will become fairly easily excitable. Your intimate knowledge of the Wyld is starting to change you, all though you do not register as Wyld tainted.
**** Doctorate: Abscesses and other such Wyld phenomena can be fought against. You think you know enough about the Wyld to contemplate investigating Charybdis. You know the Storm Eater of old was strangely attracted to Thresholds and Abscesses
***** Scholar: In the grand, cosmic scheme of things, you understand the danger the Wyld poses, and fear its role in the Apocalypse may be greater than anyone could know. You've witnessed its guerrilla tactics against the Wyrm and Weaver in the umbra. You've felt its desire to survive the madness of the Weaver and Wyrm, and you now realise the Wyld itself could be as much an instigator of the Apocalypse as the Wyrm or Weaver. This, unfortunately, has tainted you in the way that you often toss in random words when you speak. You innately understand there's a connection between the appearance of the Red Star and the long-bound Storm Eater, and fear what the Storm Eater's return will mean for Wyld-affiliated caerns and the world at large

Weaver Lore

* Student: You know the names and abilities of many Weaver creatures.
** College: Vampires seem to be of the Weaver aswell. Also, namers seem to have these "reality polices" called Paradox Spirits who try to calcify them. You also know that there are so-called Drones, living people that's been calcified by the Weaver to act in it's name.
*** Masters: You can draw a map of CyberRealm. At this level, you will be starting to get a cool detachement. Your intimate knowledge of the Weaver is starting to change you, all though you do not register as Weaver tainted.
**** Doctorate: Much of what the Weaver does is actually disgused by the actions of Wyrm minions. Not all Wyrm activity is caused by the Wyrm itself - sometimes the culprit is actually the Weaver. You are starting to become more vulnerable to Onesong.
***** Scholar: You know more about the Weaver than most, and the knowledge has forever changed you. You try to speak as little as possible, conserving your words. You know the true secrets of DNA.

Tribal Lore

First, if you are not of a specific tribe and have their lore, you need +2 to your ability to know what someone of the tribe knows. IE, what on this list is stated as level 1, you need level 3 to know if you're not of their tribe. You get 1 dot Tribal Lore for free if you're Garou, Gurahl or Bastet, assuming you don't have the Twisted Upbringing flaw. If you're kinfolk, you may buy it with Freebies or XP, assuming it's in your breed (ie, Silver Fang Kinfolk can buy Glass Walker Lore, but not Pumonca Lore (would be Bastet Lore)). They count as to be of the Tribe that they belong to, so a Black Fury kinfolk would with BF Lore 1 know as much as a True Born Fury with BF Lore 1. Also... I'm well aware that the list below is very twisted to be Garou, but the fact is that it's Werewolf: the Apocalypse, and I know Garou the best. it's still applicable, though.

Black Spiral Dancers get a free dot in BSD Lore, which counts as a specific ability, since Wyrm Lore covers the rest of the Wyrm's creatures, not only the Black Spiral Dancers.

* Student: You know about the most common camps, of all tribal rites and what view the Tribe has on the Litany, on other Tribes (if differing from the Core Book view) and other sterotypes mentioned in the Tribe Book. You yawned through history classes, so know the basics, including the tribe's role in the Impergium.
** College: You know more details about the common camps, you know which gifts they might teach, what rites they have access to etc. You know that Fera existed, and know what role the tribe played in the War of Rage.
*** Masters: You know of most of the camps, even the more secretive ones, all though you don't necessarily know much details about them. You know a lot of the history of the tribe, and know about any Fera that the tribe has contact with, either as allies or enemies.
**** Doctorate: With this much knowledge about the Tribe, you know of most gifts within the tribe, even if they belong to a more secretive camp, the same with rites. You know about most of the history, the tribe's involvement in major things in history, and any darker secrets in the tribe. You start to wonder how accurate your tribe's view of history really is.
***** Scholar: The elders respect your knowledge, and you are inducted into all the secrets of your tribe. The Ancestors come to you for information about the tribe, and you're welcome to any sept with the tribe in, to share your information. Some of the things you know are thought to be lost.

Silver Record Lore

This covers, of course, knowledge about the Silver Record, which is a life time's work, so it's heavily restricted... I haven't broken it down into levels yet, and I don't have any rules on how they're restricted. It still makes sense as a Lore, though.

Cosmology

This ability covers the knowledge about the Umbra, Realms and Spirits. It's exactly as it's written on page 183 in PGttG. You can learn up to level 2 without visiting the Umbra, but higher than that you need practical experience.

Outsider Lore

This is knowledge about things from the outside... I haven't broken it up into levels, but I might eventually. You need to buy each Lore individually, of course, where examples are: Bastet, Corax, Garou (kinfolk are considered outsiders), Gurahl, Ratkin, Vampire, etc.
