Werewolf the Apocalypse
A must for everyone who plays in the WtA section. You don't need to have it right by your computer, but at least make sure you've got access to it.
Tribe Books
If you're planning on using anything in the Tribe Books (gifts, rites, merits, flaws, abilities etc), if you have Tribe Lore higher than 1(3 for out-of-tribe), you need to have access to it. Also, all Silver Fangs Trueborns need the Silver Fang book.
Black Fury
- Caern Child[accepted, but will not have any bearing on the septs in Magid]
- Camp Affinity/Enmity[may only be earned IC]
- Unusually Fertile[banned]
Bone Gnawer
- Ratkin Buddies[doesn't work in an online environment]
Children of Gaia
Seriously, the worst book I've read. A lot of the things in it will be in a "case-by-case" basis, but two flaws are banned immediately:
- Charach [banned]
- Ahimsa [banned]

Glass Walkers
Red Talons
I will look over this book closer when/if we start letting in more Red Talons.
Silent Striders
- Ghost Sight [hard too control, and all though we don't have Wraiths here, a bit too eager towards crossover]
Silver Fang
- Notable Heritage [far too overused]
Book of the City
I do not have access to this book at the moment, but after looking over the merits/flaws, none of them are restricted.
Players Guide to the Garou
A recommended book, but not required, unless you want merits/flaws/gifts etc from it. Also, note that the creation system for Kinfolk in the PGttG is faulty, so despite Kinfolk: the Unsung Heroes being 2nd ed, it is recommended for Kinfolk characters.

- Blind[may only be earned IC]
- Dark Fate[this will be used against you]

- Deranged [heavily restricted, need to show that you can play it]

Umbra Revised
Might be a good idea for high-Cosmology characters, and as always... If you're planning on using a gift or rite from it, you need to have access to it. Though, fair warning... Just because things are one way in the Umbra book does not mean it will always be that way when ST'd. The Umbra is, after all, unpredictable.
Book of Auspices
As with all the books; if you want to use material from it, you need to have access to it.
- Combat Expertise[banned, too hard to keep track of]
- Hubris [banned]
Kinfolk: the Unsung Heroes
If you're planning on using things from this book, you need it, but your normal "run of the mill" kinfolk don't need it. The restrictions for Kinfolk are different than the restrictions for Garou, so it's heavily recommended.
- No Numina allowed
- No Gifts[need to be earned IC]
- No Lupus Kinfolk
- Feral Apperance [banned]
- Fetish [may only be earned IC]
- Gall[may only be earned IC]
- Gnosis [may only be earned IC]
- Recognize Garou [this is useless without Garou Lore 1+. It grants -2 Difficulty on all Perception rolls to recognize Garou, not automatic recognition]
- Supernatural Kinfolk[banned]
- Wolf-sense [take Common Sense instead]
- Wyrm-tainted [may only be earned IC. Not a flaw for BSD kinfolk]
Backgrounds-
- Favour [Need local NPC or PC]
- Pure Breed [No higher than 2. Remember, not even Silver Fang Kinfolk are required PB higher than 1]
- Renown [no Renown accepted]
- Resources [3, may allow higher with strong background]

No gifts, merits, flaws or fetishes allowed from this one.
Wyld
No gifts, merits, flaws or fetishes allowed from this one.
Rage across...
Case-to-case basis. No gifts or fetishes allowed from it (for starting), but you might get a merit or flaw from one of them, assuming the main ST for your venue has access to it.
Guardians of the Caern
The merits/flaws are only usable by metis. As always, you need access to it if you plan to use anything from it. |
