Chapter 1: Character Creation

Book required: Demon: the Fallen core book

Books recommended: Demon Player’s Guide, Houses of the Fallen, and City of Angels

Step One: Character Concept

惹ubmit prelude (128-130 D:tF Core) or background to the Character History Forums before adding the character to the database.

Step Two – Select Attributes

意o more than 2 Attributes at 4 – Except with ST approval
意o Attributes at 5

Step Three – Select Abilities

意o more than 3 Abilities at 4 - more than 1 requires solid background justification
意o Abilities at 5
意o more than 7 dots in combat-related Abilities (Athletics, Brawl, Dodge, Firearms, and Melee) No 4’s in Combat at creation allowed

Step Four – Select Advantages

意o more than 1 Background at 4
意o Backgrounds at 5
意o Virtues at 5
意o Lores higher than 3
慈nly with High approval may a character REPLACE one of his In house Lores with an Out of house lore. From that moment forwards this new Lore is considered an In House Lore for 1extra freebie point at creation. The Lore that was replaced however, is now considered to be Out of House. (Ex: Bob the Malefactor used to forge swords for the legion. He had been taught Lore of Flames instead of Lore of Paths. Bob’s in House Lores are now Forge, Flames, and Earth. To purchase Paths later, he will spend the amount of xp required to purchase out of house lores.)
Under NO circumstances will any PC ever have the following lores: Lore of Chaos, Lore of Contamination, Lore of Violation.

Background Limits

Allies – Allowed
Contacts – Allowed
Eminence – Maximum 1 without ST approval
Fame – Maximum 2 without High ST approval
Followers – Maximum 3
Influence – Maximum 2 in any single area
Mentor – Maximum 3 (may be a PC)
Resources – Allowed
Paragon – Maximum 1 without ST approval
Legacy – Maximum 3
Pacts – Maximum 3 (No PC thralls at Creation)
Occult Library – High ST approval required
Rituals – None at Character Creation.

Step Five: Finishing Touches

慌illpower no higher than 6 at creation
嫂lternate Apocalyptic Forms may be toned down or otherwise edited to fit concept. Form points of 16 is still the limit however.


Merits & Flaws

Many of the Merits & Flaws listed in the Player’s Guide are not appropriate for an online venue, or can better be designated with appropriate placement of Background, Ability, and Attribute dots, or simple character description. Every single Merit and Flaw is to be considered RESTRICTED. It will be up to the Sanctioning ST to allow or disallow them for the character.

Occult Library

Whatever form it takes, an Occult Library aids the character in certain cases involving knowledge of the mystical or magical. Whenever the player needs to make a roll involving the Occult Knowledge and the character has the opportunity to consult the books, she may call upon this background to help. While this won’t be of any aid if the character is being held prisoner or otherwise similar conditions, it will help out some while they are in their own library or laboratory.

* A few books: +1 die to Occult dice pools
** A modest collection: +1 die to Occult dice pools, -1 to Occult Difficulties
*** Many noteworthy titles: +2 die to Occult dice pools, -1 to Occult Difficulties
**** A wide Variety of lore: +2 die to Occult dice pools, -2 to Occult difficulties
***** A veritable magical encyclopedia: +3 dice to Occult dice pools, -2 to Occult difficulties.

Unaligned with a faction, is not allowed at creation. This will happen through role-play if it does happen. This is also limited few people who show excellence in roleplaying abilities.

Earthbound are NOT playable PCs. If your PC has gained torment 10 they are no longer playable. And if for some reason a pc becomes an earthbound, it will become an NPC unless otherwise discussed, debated, and arranged with the ST team. No Exceptions.

Exorcists are not being allowed as PC's at this time. This may or may not change.
