The Refinery

A dark club, catering to the needs of society's darker elements. as one enters the long stretch of Victorian hall before the club, a thorough search for weapons and other objects is common. One
at the front, one before club entry. The rest of the compound a rough square, can be seen, but darkly, and passage has been blocked off to guide guests to where they are going. One definitely got the feeling that if something happened out here, no one would know about it for days, if at all.

The security is conducted by a crew of (four) very rough, burly individuals, One in particular being ("Hacket" 7' African American tank with dreads pouring from his dark hood. a bat is visibly carried
over his shoulder black hoody and cargoes, 30 eyelet Docs made for stomping, and two Big rottweilers held on thick chains and muzzles) but once inside this gothic hall the floor descends into a hemispherical staircase leading to the first floor landing, and in turn the first floor. Columns raised from the floor to ceiling line the staircase. Pictures of events or random artistic talent, decorate them. The flashing strobes hit those coming on like a wave, and the patrons, all subdued by the darkness within the club are lit faintly by some odd blue lighting, accentuating everything dark and
black, or fluorescent in nature. Towards the center of the room, one can descend a walled staircase to the primary club floor from each corner of which a chain link fence ran the perimeter, and where the loud crowds sway to the beat. Multiple mosh pits have started and the stage extends from the right side wall the east wall, a good thirty feet into and over the crowd, and is suspended a good ten feet above. The stage is surrounded by a waist height wrought iron fence jutting outward at a 45 degree angle, skulls seemed to have been impaled at various lengths of the fence, keeping in a very dark image and feel. In the case of no band a tower rising from the floor fifteen feet or so up provides a DJ booth. Security patrols the floor, and make quick work of trouble. On the far side of the building, the south wall and on the first floor directly across from the front entrance, the second floor can be reached via a simple staircase.

Second Floor - "The Hospice"

Reaching the second floor, one received an open floor, balcony like feel that gave them a clean view of the first floor and dance floor. a chain link fence ran the perimeter of the open space, allowing no one to fall in should they choose to look over. Each bar, of which were two, at opposite walls, the north and south, a spherical raised platform, was crowded with patrons seeking to find their poison for the night and a railing that supported small two or three man tables,
ran the circumference of the bars, allowing guests to walk around the bar level with ease, share their drinks and talk, and enjoy the evening altogether from just the bar area alone. Television
screens silently play a mixed and mashed collection of frames from various movies from the early thirties to today. They hang from the walls in varying patterns from dangling chains, walled cages,
or statute figures holding them up as if a great weight were carried on their backs. One favorite, "The World Network" was a collage of screens, each displaying different channels, worldly, or on
special occasions, linked up to display one single image over them all. The construction of this floor seems to be black wrought iron and stainless steel. and along the walls there are either Dark,
black curtains draped for the illusion of space behind them or iridescent wall cages where dancers move in perfect rhythm to the music. These women are unreachable, save by the most persistent,
or strong, meaning one would have to rip the bars from the wall to get at them. (Sciorra, tough looking riot girl takes to keeping the "peace on this floor. accompanied by her two human bulldog-like goons "Pinto and Ford") who move along with her, greeting guests and the like if she felt the desire to. Bathrooms are here on the second floor, and seemed to have been forged from old shower rooms to clean meats like one would at a slaughterhouse. A hallway of painted fluorescent
red, and walled off by a showy wrought iron gate separating that hall and the main club. At the south perimeter of the overlook, was the staircase to the third floor.

Third Floor - "Gateway"

Opposite from the entrance, and accessible only from the second level is a broad, Black as night stage width curtain. It conceals a wide staircase leading to the third level. This level too encircles
the club floor from above, and is fenced off. Security stands at this level watching those who come and go, and an additional pat down is received when coming to this level, scanner bars are used as well. From here a catwalk is accessible and crisscrosses the space above the dance floor where others may watch from above. Some guests sit and dangle their feet, far more comfortable here than anywhere else. A wall length bar is available on this floor, the looks of some dark
shelter, like an old medieval forge. locals find their favorite bartender( Jody, a definite early twenties Riot girl) as the tender, and in no mood to put up with bullshit. Rough looking members
stand nearby to put down anyone looking to cause her harm. Couches, chairs, and small dens compliment this level, allowing those who wished to get away from the loud pit below can.
Somber lighting provided a dark, atmosphere and numerous full wall decorations of the Victorian age decorate the walls. A brief walk around and one could find the single wide staircase leading to
the fourth floor. It rose up from beyond a secured wall, along the south side, guarded by two gentlemen with a checkpoint area before even ascending to the fourth floor and was cast in a shade of red from lights held in sconces along the way.

The Fourth Floor -"Red Room"

Once one reaches the top of the stairs, the roar of the pit below is dulled greatly and normal conversation is possible. A heavy black curtain hides the double doors to this floor. Just beyond that is the security set up. a Booth for items to be stored. a podium style checkpoint and the security. On the Fourth floor, and accessed only by VIP ticket holders. Here (four) figures clad in black hoodies and BP vests beneath them, check for weapons. There is a dog handler here as
well, with 4 rottweilers, muzzles and on a chain. (One with Auspex "Brody" Big broad tank of a Caucasian male, bald, muscled, and in a ripped sleeve shirt, 30 eyelet Docs, black bondage pants and a single tapered bang from his head down the front of his face) a security camera is available to him for viewing of the lower floors and can see all approaches to the fourth floor from the third floor doorway). The walls of the fourth floor are done in black painting, while red sconces line the walls giving dull red light every fifteen feet or so. Here, the room has become more furnished, something one would see in a manor house, all the while retaining that atmosphere of a macabre setting. A wrought iron gate separated a theater-like den, where seating faced a large wall projection screen, played old black and white films. Through out the week, varying movie nights were hosted and a small price. Recessed rooms were curtained off for those guests wishing to have more personal time with their acquaintances, or their ghouls. Feeding and the like could be done without worry of breach of the masquerade. When it came to dealing with Public relations, this level was prowled by a (Tempting coffee skinned female clad in a black fitting dress. "Persephone"auspex/fortitude) capable of handling any and all of the club's needs. The "Rack" a bar along the far wall, and directly above the one from downstairs catered to the needs of those VIP holders. Drinks may be free, on the house, or house specials for those recognized by the tender. A middle aged man, could be a father, and with a distinct contrast in looks to the rough crowd below. Aside from the rather macabre floor, best suited for those kindred of the city, a red lit doorway is at the far east end of the hall, right of the staircase if proceeded that way. It was guarded by a Simple looking man in black .It takes one down the red lit hall and to the other rooms available for VIP Cliental, and is blocked off by a steel riveted heavy industrial grade door that took the semblance of some former furnace.

"Branch Hall"

Heavily secured. visual and physical security. No one passes save VIP holders. Yet -another- pat down is handled here, this time by a group of six individuals just beyond a sliding wrought iron folding fence and at the end of the hall, just before a set of double doors, heavy industrial grade steel and piping once again seen in the ceiling and walls ,the foundry look of grated floors and pipes running through the ceiling. All of which, like the rest of the Refinery have been shutdown, rerouted from the original concepts to secure and reduce power use, problematic issues and of course the security of any kindred activity within.

Industrial room - "The Haunt"

(Bowels of the Refinery)
A simple room, hard to find as it has ben secreted away amongst a number of unused stalls and passages.

"The Pain palace" - (Armed security)

This floor is distinctly another section of the refinery. As one approaches the roar of another crow can be heard. By the cool temperature one couldn't be too far from the roof. Near darkness
here, save for various levels of track lighting to shine down on the participants of the fight floor.
Luxurious couches line the walls a host of depictions of the fights taken here, posters of past fights and the feel of an isolated world of conflict. A roaming hostess takes drink orders for the crowds
that have come here. Solely VIP this evening, and those mortal VIP have access through a secluded entrance altogether, secured and separated. A barrier of clear bulletproofed glass surrounds a pit for gladiatorial matches and unsanctioned fighting. -Much- money is made here, and passes hands via cash holders, placed bet tables and clientele working for the house. This cash is made for both the clients -and- the fighters. Many names come up here in the underworld
scene and many known figures are seen here. Rooms for the fighters to get there things together are located along the bottom floor and only those fighting are allowed to go to those areas. The cells are secured and isolated from view, and accessed by either Mr Jackson, or the room head, a man named Mr Carver. (Italian man, short, Sicilian descent and very, very professional. Owned by the house)

Sky box room

This room detailed in a black and stainless steel was situated down a staircase and into the west wing wall of the pit. it housed twelve chairs, theater style, a single exit and several projection monitors for the floor below to see in detail what fight moves took place. A recording system was available so nothing would or could be missed.
